About Cathy
Cathy started practicing yoga 10 years ago, in London. After experimenting with a few different forms she found ashtanga and was instantly hooked. Initially attracted to the physical benefits of this style of yoga, she soon found the effects to be far more profound.
A few years down the line she was attending morning ‘mysore –style’ classes(the traditional way to study ashtanga) and it was at this point that she began to understand the transformative effect, both within and without, of a consistent regular practice.
Cathy believes that yoga brings you coherence, clarity and focus and greatly enhances your quality of life, as well as being a steadying support through more troubled times.
She has travelled far and wide to immerse herself in the practice and has studied and attended workshops with many inspirational teachers, most notably Pierre Seghir, Hamish Hendry, and Rolf Naujokat.
She recently spent 4 months in India, under the tutelage of Sharath Rangaswamy, at The Sri K Pattabhi Jois AshtangaYoga Research Institute. Now back in Glasgow, she is delighted to be teaching and sharing with others her experience of this wonderful practice. To contact Cathy: morancath@googlemail.com
